Farms
Historically the Estate had three high quality dairy farms, Dalton Old Hall, Coat Green and Russell Farm, but farming has always been cyclical and over the last 30 years farms have moved out of dairy and into beef and sheep production and then reverted back to dairy again
Coat Green – a modern dairy business grazing spring calved cows intensively on a grass based system managed by Andrew & Margaret Smith with their children Rebecca and James
Dalton Old Hall – a mixed beef and sheep farm run by Nigel Barker
Russell Farm – land for rearing heifer replacements and feed for the Coat Green operation
Henridding – land for the grazing of youngstock and rearing of beef cattle in support of Coat Green operation
